At Backhaus Brown (BB) we attach great importance to you being comfortable with how we process your personal data. Therefor we have a clear policy to treat the information you provide to us responsibly, with respect for your privacy and, of course, in accordance with the relevant law.
We update and change our privacy policy to adapt to applicable legislation and technological developments. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you in the form of a visible notice on our website. The date of the latest update of this policy is 8. February 2021.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data is information that is directly or indirectly related to a person. Examples of personal data are name, address, phone number, email address and IP addresses.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DOES BB COLLECT?
We only collect information that you choose to provide to us and only in connection with providing the service you request:

Order and purchase
To follow up on an order, we collect your personal information, regardless of whether an order is placed by telephone, by way of attendance or by email. We will collect your name, address, phone number and email address. BB respects your privacy and we therefore ask you not to provide sensitive information such as CPR. number and credit card information. Information is collected solely to deliver an item or service to you and it is stored for continuous communication in connection with ordering, purchasing and shipment.
Purchase and order information is stored for as long as you are a customer. If the customer relationship ends information will be retained until there is no longer a purpose to store the information. BB is subject to the Danish Accounting Act which, among other things, forms the basis for determining the retention period after termination of customer relations.

Newsletter
BB sends out newsletters to send you relevant news, invitations, bargains, etc. For this purpose, we limit ourselves to collecting the most basic information, your email address. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and after you unsubscribe, we will not save your email. We use a provider called MailChimp for our newsletters and you can read how MailChimp handles and protects your data in MailChimp's privacy policy.

Facebook and Instagram.
BB informs our “followers” on Facebook and Instagram. We do not combine our contacts with Facebook's data and thus also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation of 25 May 2018.

Targeted Marketing
It may be that BB wishes to collect your information for targeted marketing of a special nature, for example in connection with purchases. This is only done with your prior written consent, stating the purpose and retention time of the information. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

WHO RECEIVES THE PERSONAL DATA?
BB does not sell, transfer or share your personal information with a third party. When purchasing and ordering products that are made in cooperation with a partner information necessary for the processing of purchases, orders and shipping may be shared between the two parties.
THE RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION AND DELETION
Once registered with BB, you have the right under the Personal Data Regulation to see what information we hold about you. You can at any time ask if we hold any personal data about you, just as you have the right to have incorrect information corrected and to have the information provided in a commonly used, machine-readable format. You also have the right at any time to demand your personal data be deleted, to the extent that it can be done without us violating laws, e.g., the Accounting Act. COOKIES
We record your electronic visits using cookies. When you visit our website, a cookie is stored on the device you are using such as your computer or tablet, and we can follow your visit and your use of our website, e.g. which pages you visit and how long you spend on each page, i.e. information that we can use to improve the information on our site.
